SWIFT (South Western Integrated Fibre Technology) is a regional broadband expansion project initiated by the Western Ontario Warden’s Caucus and delivered in partnership with member municipalities, including Dufferin County and the government of Ontario and Canada. This project is committed to improving access to high-speed internet services across Southwestern Ontario.
SWIFT subsidizes the construction of open-access high-speed networks to encourage service providers to expand broadband infrastructure in underserves rural areas in an effort to enable greater digital equality between rural and urban populations.
