Warden’s Statement on the Death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Warden Darren White issued the following statement with respect to the Buckingham Palace announcement of the death of His Royal Highness, The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on the morning of April 9, 2021:
On behalf of the residents of the County of Dufferin I offer condolences to the Royal Family on the passing of Prince Phillip. He was a dedicated Father, grandfather and great grandfather who exemplified the meaning of the word “service”. An outspoken supporter of youth and a patron of thousands of charities, his legacy will be long remembered. The County of Dufferin mourns with the Royal Family, the British Empire and the entire Commonwealth.
County of Dufferin will lower all flags at its buildings in honour of the Duke’s death.
