30 Local Agencies Launch Community Safety and Well-Being Survey
The Dufferin County Community Safety and Well-Being Integration Table is excited to launch a comprehensive Community Safety and Well-Being Survey aimed at gathering insights to improve quality of life in the community.
The survey will focus on various aspects of safety and well-being, including:
- Health
- Standard of living
- Housing
- Activities and recreation
- Learning and education
- Sense of belonging
- Community safety
- Democratic engagement
- Accessibility of programs, services and supports
- Environment
The information gathered through this survey will play a crucial role in shaping future community programs, policies and initiatives. By actively participating, residents can contribute to building a safer, more resilient and supportive community for everyone. Participants can choose to be entered into a draw to win a $25 President’s Choice gift card!
Residents are encouraged to participate and share the survey link with their friends, family and neighbours to ensure a representative and comprehensive understanding of community perspectives.
The survey will be available online at Join In Dufferin until January 31, 2024. Paper copies will also be available throughout the community at participating locations like libraries, recreation centres, EarlyON centres and more for those who prefer a non-digital format.
About the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan
More than 30 local organizations are working together as the Dufferin County Community Safety and Well-Being Integration Table to create a better quality of life locally.
The group created Dufferin’s initial Community Safety and Well-Being Plan based on local data and information and community consultation. There are five priority areas identified for action in Dufferin’s 2021 to 2024 Community Safety and Well-Being Plan:
- Mental Health and Well-Being
- Housing and Homelessness
- Substance Use and Addiction
- Discrimination, Marginalization and Racism
- Community Safety and Violence Prevention
