Dufferin County will continue to support Grey County Transit Route 2, running between Shelburne and Orangeville, until March 31, 2025.
In September, Dufferin County announced it would provide subsidy funding for the Grey County Transit Route 2 in the amount of $15,000 on a month-to-month basis for up to four months. The County is working to provide an ongoing solution after March and will provide more information as it becomes available.
The Grey Transit Route (GTR) is a rural transit service managed by Grey County and operated under a contract with Driverseat Owen Sound. Since September 2020, the GTR has been operating a 10-passenger van between Owen Sound and the GO station in Orangeville five days per week, four return trips per day.
