Dufferin County seeking public members for Homelessness Task Force
Dufferin County is seeking public members for its Homelessness Task Force.
The Homelessness Task Force will be responsible for identifying innovative and sustainable options that will provide housing and support services to unhoused people in Dufferin County. Duties will include:
- Collaborating with current homelessness tables and organizations providing support in the community
- Identifying and analyzing:
- Additional tools and resources to enhance current homelessness services and providers
- Potential opportunities for deeply affordable housing and supports based on best practices and examples in other jurisdictions
- Associated costs and resources
- Implementation timelines
- Assessment of the Dufferin County Master Housing Strategy
- Community education and engagement
Applicants must be 18 years of age or order and a resident, business owner or stakeholder in Dufferin County and cannot be employed by Dufferin County.
Applicants should understand the qualifications listed on the Committee Terms of Reference, overall community issues and be able to build meaningful relationships and connections within the community.
