Dufferin County is excited to announce it has launched new features on its economic development webpage to showcase the county’s strengths and attract site selectors and talent.

New web features include:

• Community profile: Dufferin County offers an idyllic blend of natural beauty, vibrant communities and exciting opportunities for new residents and investors. The community profile offers a comprehensive snapshot of Dufferin County, including demographic and socioeconomic data. There are also community profiles available for each of the municipalities in the county!
• Logistics and accessibility advantages: with a supportive business environment, access to major transportation routes and proximity to the Greater Toronto Area, Dufferin County is ideal for both family life and business investment. The logistics and accessibility advantages section highlights Dufferin County’s strategic location and transportation infrastructure.
• Workforce advantages: Dufferin County offers significant workforce advantages, including a highly skilled and educated labor pool that is bolstered by excellent local education and training facilities. The workforce advantages section details the skills, education and availability of Dufferin’s workforce.
• Quality of life advantages: Dufferin County offers a great quality of life with great amenities needed to make it home including schools, healthcare, parks and trails and many things to see and do. The Quality of Life Tool promotes what makes living in the county special.

Dufferin County’s 2023 to 2026 Strategic Plan is the County’s guide for the next four years and beyond. It includes priority areas and specific goals, in alignment with many provincial objectives.

Under the Plan, the County’s vision is to be a community that grows together. The Strategic Plan places a renewed focus on equity and inclusivity and sets out the County’s commitment to create a community where all can thrive.

Economy is a priority area under the Strategic Plan with advancing county-wide economic and workforce development as a corresponding goal. The new web features will help the County as it works to support business expansion and growth and attract investment and high-quality jobs to ensure economic success.
