The Museum of Dufferin (MoD) collects and preserves the stories of the people, places and culture of Dufferin County — past and present — and shares them through engaging and inclusive experiences. The MoD offers a welcoming, unique and enriching environment for its visitors, with an eclectic variety of experiences by way of exhibitions, events, programs and tours. Stories of Sacrifice | Now to Saturday, February 10, 2024
“Stories of Sacrifice” features archival images of Dufferin County military men and women that served in a variety of historic conflicts, from the Crimean War to the Second World War.
Come learn their stories of joy, heartbreak and sacrifice, and take a moment to honour veterans in your own family within the exhibit.
MoD-Tots: All About Seeds | November 15, 10 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 to 2 pm
Babies, toddlers and caregivers are invited to the Museum for tot-friendly art play every other Wednesday.
Parent/caregiver participation and pre-registration are required. Learn more and register.
Holiday Treasures Arts and Crafts Sale | November 29 to December 10, 10 am to 4 pm
Join the MoD for the 19th Annual Holiday Treasures Arts and Crafts Sale in picturesque Mulmur! Shop the works of over 65 vendors, makers and craft-persons in the Main Gallery. From jewelry, pottery and woodworking to one-of-a-kind textiles and art, the Market is the perfect chance to pick up handmade gifts. You can support our small local businesses this season, all in one stop! Admission is by donation.

Garland Making Workshop | November 30, 2 to 3 pm
Try your hand at making natural and rustic garlands in this one-hour workshop! Using materials including dried oranges, evergreen boughs, herbs and more you can make the perfect vintage-inspired garland for your home or as a gift! Your workshop ticket includes admission to the Holiday Treasures Arts & Crafts Sale in the Main Gallery of the museum – shop and craft!
$20 per person. Must be 16 years or older. Learn more and register.
