Coming up in April at the MoD
The Museum of Dufferin (MoD) collects and preserves the stories of the people, places and culture of Dufferin County — past and present — and shares them through engaging and inclusive experiences. The MoD offers a welcoming, unique and enriching environment for its visitors, with an eclectic variety of experiences by way of exhibitions, events, programs and tours. There’s something for everyone – here’s what’s coming up in April at the MoD!

PA Day Workshop: Clay Cookie Cutter Lamps (Ages 8-12) | April 4, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
In this workshop, kids will create their own clay lamp using air dry clay. Kids will learn core hand building techniques and form fun designs in their clay piece using cookie cutters.
$15 + HST per child. Registration required.
PA Day Workshop: Polymer Clay Magnets (Ages 13-18) | April 4, 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
In this workshop, teens will create their own funky magnets using polymer clay. Teens can mix and match colours, mold fun shapes, experiment with textures, and more.
$15 + HST per teen. Registration required.
MoD Masterclass: Handwriting with Fountain Pens | April 12, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Why handwrite in the age of smartphones and computers? A short and casual workshop to learn some reasons why and what your revived writing skills can be used for. For those who are “fountain pen curious” but have never used one – or did, but it was a very long time ago, get a chance to try out various types of fountain pens, inks and papers. If you are a fountain pen user trying to convert your friends, bring them along!
All materials are included and no previous experience necessary!

MoD-Tots: All About Eggs | April 16, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Join us for MoD-Tots: All about Eggs! Hop in with your toddler and enjoy tot-friendly spring themed crafts and sensory play!
Ages 1-4.
$7 + HST per child (caregivers are free)
MoD-Tots: Rainbow Day | April 30, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Join us for MoD-Tots: Rainbow Day! Explore all the colours of the rainbow with your toddler through rainbow themed crafts and sensory play! Registration and caregiver participation are required.
Ages 1-4.
$7 + HST per child (caregivers are free)
About the MoD
