Climate Action in Dufferin Invites Residents to Attend Virtual Open House

January 11, 2021 – Residents are invited to attend a virtual Zoom Open House to learn about the Draft Dufferin Climate Action Plan, ask questions, and share insights. Residents can attend the virtual event, hosted by Climate Action in Dufferin, on one of two dates:

Open House #1: Wednesday, January 20th from 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Open House #2: Thursday, January 21st from 1:00pm – 2:00pm

The draft “Dufferin Climate Action Plan” lays out a strategy to reach greenhouse gas neutrality by 2050, while also building resilience to the current and future impacts of climate change in the community.

All residents of Dufferin County are encouraged to attend, as community input is essential to the success of local climate action. The virtual Open House event will feature a presentation on the Draft Dufferin Climate Action Plan, including Dufferin’s current greenhouse gas inventory, proposed greenhouse gas reduction targets, and the 6 key theme areas for action.

Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and share their insights on the Draft Dufferin Climate Action Plan.

Residents can register for the virtual Open House at climateactionindufferin.eventbrite.ca. After signing up, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to join the virtual event. A recording of the event will be made available for those who cannot attend live.

Residents can also comment on the Draft Dufferin Climate Action Plan on Join in Dufferin from January 15th to February 5th.
