Calling all artists who have created a piece of artwork they feel represents their heritage or culture and the spirit of multiculturalism and/or the theme of “Unity in Diversity”!

The Museum of Dufferin (MoD), in partnership with the Dufferin County Multicultural Foundation, are proud to present “Unity in Diversity”, a juried art show hosted at the MoD. The exhibit will open on Friday, June 23 at 6:30 pm and will run until Saturday, July 29. This is the second year of the art show after a successful first year.

A jury will select four to six artists to display two to four pieces of art each in a two-month exhibition in the MoD’s Silo Gallery. Artists in all mediums from across Ontario are invited to share artwork that represents the theme “Unity in Diversity”.

The MoD is dedicated to ensuring equity, inclusion, decolonization and anti-oppression are a priority across the institution. The Museum is proud to partner with the Dufferin County Multicultural Foundation to present the Unity in Diversity Art Show to bring together and highlight the variety of cultural diversity in the community.

There is no entry fee for this show. The entry deadline is Friday, April 14 at noon. Selected artists will be notified on Thursday, April 27.

About the Museum of Dufferin

The Museum of Dufferin collects and preserves the stories of the people, places and culture of Dufferin County — past and present — and shares them through engaging and inclusive experiences.

Nestled in the hills of Mulmur Township, the Museum of Dufferin (formerly the Dufferin County Museum & Archives) opened at its current location in 1994.

The Museum’s roots date to 1963 when the Dufferin County Historical Society established the Shelburne Pioneer Museum. The Museum’s artifact collection was officially donated to the County in 1988 and relocated to the current facility by 1994.
