Ontario Works Two Way Messaging through MyBenefits

January 11, 2021 - MyBenefits is a service available to Ontario Works (OW) clients in the County of Dufferin that have access to a computer/tablet/ cell phone with internet access. MyBenefits gives clients 24/7 access to information on their file. Clients can:

  • Report income or address changes
  • See past payments
  • View letter
  • Provide OW income verification
  • Upload paystubs

Now, in the County of Dufferin, MyBenefits clients are able to use a new messaging feature:

  • MyBenefits users will have the ability to send and receive messages and attach documents through MyBenefits  
  • Caseworkers in Dufferin County will have the ability to communicate with MyBenefits users by sending and receiving messages and documents 

To sign up for MyBenefits, clients need to have an email address recorded with Ontario Works, then they can register at Ontario.ca/MyBenefits. For more information call 1-888-999-6130 (Monday-Friday) 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Clients already using messaging have reported how easy and convenient it is to use.

It is important to note, MyBenefits is not available to clients with Trustees at this time.

As a result of this new secure messaging feature, Ontario Works Caseworkers will no longer accept e-mails from ongoing Ontario Works clients who are able to register for MyBenefits.
