Dufferin County Canadian Black Association (DCCBA)

November 16, 2020 was the formal launch of the much anticipated Dufferin County Canadian Black Association (DCCBA). The DCCBA aims to provide leadership for the continued development and enhancement of the Black community through civic engagement, education, programs and services, and advocate for equity and well-being for the Black community in Dufferin County. 

"This is a historic launch as it is the first of its kind in Dufferin County! As we all know, Dufferin County is growing and is increasingly becoming more diverse and our organization is determined to be a strong voice for the Black and Caribbean community. Despite our mandate, we are proud to say that DCCBA is inclusive and welcoming to all groups." -Alethia O’Hara Stephenson.

DCCBA will be offering through its Community Outreach Team and associated partners, Diversity and Inclusion and Anti-racism strategies designed to dismantle systemic discrimination and provide transformative change for any environment.
