The Council of every municipality having a population of more than 10,000 people is required to establish an accessibility advisory committee, made up of members of the public. The Committee advises Council about the requirements and implementation of accessible standards.

On October 1, 2024, the accessibility committees from Dufferin County, the Town of Orangeville and the Town of Shelburne will meet at the Town of Orangeville office, 87 Broadway, Orangeville ON L9W 1K1.
