Finance Clerk (Temporary Contract - Approx. 12 months)

Reporting to the Deputy Treasurer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Treasury Department with a focus on procurement activities.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and send correspondence with bidders, obtaining required documentation from successful bidders
  • File various treasury documents, including accounts payables and bidding documents
  • Assist in maintenance of vendors on Bids and Tenders site
  • Assist with posting bidding documents on electronic bidding system
  • Maintain Bid Security, Performance and Labour and Material Bonds records
  • Create and maintain procurement files
  • Obtain required information to properly bill for rescue calls
  • Maintain WSIB and insurance database of all vendors
  • Orders office supplies as directed
  • Assist in formatting of documents
  • Processes and distribute mail on a daily basis. Send outgoing mail and courier packages
  • Perform special projects as assigned by the Deputy Treasurer
