Notice of Service Changes for the Township of Amaranth
As of January 1, 2025, the Township of Amaranth will be providing Building Services directly to their residents. Please visit their website for more information.
Dufferin County’s Building Division is ready to support the community with permit applications, document requests, and general information.
The County provides building services for Amaranth, East Garafraxa, Grand Valley, Melancthon, Mono, Mulmur, and Shelburne.
If you are constructing or demolishing in the Town of Orangeville, please visit their website. For zoning information, please reach out to your local Town/Township. Click here for contact information.
Building permits are not required for detached structures that are less than 15m², unless there is plumbing. Even if your project does not require a building permit, zoning approval from your local Town/Township may still be required. Please contact them directly.
