Attend the Winter Warmth Clothing Swap Party this November!
Dufferin Waste and Grand Valley Public Library are hosting a Winter Warmth Clothing Swap Party on Saturday, November 9 from 10 am – 1 pm! The event will be held at the library located at 4 Amaranth St. E, Grand Valley.
Bring your unwanted jackets, hats, mittens, scarves, sweaters and other winter clothing and accessories and swap them for something else. Light refreshments will be served and there will be a chance to win prizes!
What’s a clothing swap party? It’s a sustainable way to get rid of unwanted accessories, clothing and/or shoes while swapping them for items you need for free!
Did you know? Textiles contribute to 10 million tonnes of waste in landfills in North America, 95 percent of which could have been reused or recycled.
