The Museum of Dufferin (MoD) collects and preserves the stories of the people, places and culture of Dufferin County — past and present — and shares them through engaging and inclusive experiences. The MoD offers a welcoming, unique and enriching environment for its visitors, with an eclectic variety of experiences by way of exhibitions, events, programs and tours. There’s something for everyone – here’s what’s coming up in November at the MoD!
Honouring Our Veterans | November 2, 10:30 am
Join us at the Museum of Dufferin for Our Veteran’s Week Ceremony. The ceremony will be led by representatives of the Shelburne Legion Branch 220 and Orangeville Legion Branch 223. The ceremony is followed by a presentation by local historian and Governor General’s Award Winner, Neil Orford.

The Poppy Project | November 2, 11 am – 3:30 pm
Learn to crochet a poppy in this free workshop dedicated to creating beautiful poppies for a display to honour veterans past and present.

MoD Masterclass for Kids & Teens: Fighting Fish Line Art | November 9, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Join local artist Stephanie Casino Esguerra! Students will first learn a variety of line art techniques for drawing still-life objects, and then use those techniques to create their own fighting fish (betta fish) line art!
$15 plus HST per participant.
MoD-Tots: Buildings and Structures | November 13, two sessions: 9 to 10 am and 11 am to noon
Join us for MoD-Tots: Buildings and Structures! Get your toolbelt ready for a fun morning of assembly, engineering and demolition with your toddler through tot-friendly construction themed crafts and sensory play!
$7 plus HST per child.
Ask the Archivist: Genealogy Brick Wall | November 13, 9 am to noon
Have you hit a “brick wall” in your genealogy research? Book a personal one-hour appointment with the Archivist and we will work to turn that brick wall into a pit stop!
$20 plus HST per appointment.
Holiday Treasures Craft Market | November 27, 10 am to 4 pm
Join us for the 20th Annual Holiday Treasures Arts & Crafts Sale at the Museum of Dufferin in picturesque Mulmur, Ontario! Shop the works of over 68 vendors, makers and craft-persons in the Main Gallery.
Admission by donation.
