Dufferin County wishes to inform the public about the upcoming hunting seasons in the Dufferin County Forest.

• White-tailed deer, bows only: October 1 to November 3; November 9 to December 1; and December 7 to 31, 2024
• Wild turkey, bows only: October 1 to October 31, 2024
• Wild turkey, shotgun or bow: October 15 to 27, 2024
• White-tailed deer, shotgun or bow: November 4 to 8 and December 2 to 6, 2024

During these periods, it is anticipated that hunters will be actively using various forest tracts. All visitors are advised to exercise caution and to wear bright-coloured clothing to ensure visibility and safety while enjoying the Forest.

Please note that hunting is always prohibited in the following tracts:

• North portion of Amaranth
• Hockley
• Leening
• Levitt
• Little
• Main
• Mono
• Thomson
• River Road

If you witness any activity that violates the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, please report it to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry at 1-877-847-7667 (877-TIPS-MNR).
